The school conducted a chess workshop hosted by Aadya Gupta, an international chess player and Women FIDE Master, at the age of 15, for school's dedicated chess players. In a remarkable display of skill and mentorship, Aadya played simultaneously against 10 selected students and won against all of them. These young chess enthusiasts, guided by her expertise, are now set to participate in the MSSSP Inter-School Chess Tournament 2025. As part of the workshop, Aadya also held an interactive session with over 90 students who share a passion for chess. One of the most memorable moments of the day was the announcement that the school's in-house chess trophy, awarded annually on Founder's Day, that has been renamed to 'Aadya Gupta Award for Excellence in Chess'. During the session, Aadya identified and felicitated the deserving students who will now be the latest names inscribed on this prestigious cup.
