Child rights panel inspects two govt schools in Chandigarh

Chandigarh, October 21

A team of the Chandigarh Commission for Protection of Child Rights (CCPCR) headed by Harjinder Kaur, its chairperson, along with Ravinder Kaur, Deputy Director-cum-ex-officio member, Kartar Singh, legal consultant, Chanchal Singh, RTE consultant, and Arvind, senior assistant, visited Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 45, and Government Model School, Sector 45, here today.

The members inspected classrooms in both schools. They showed satisfaction after checking arrangements at schools.

During discussion with principals of the schools the commission observed that more option of subjects in Class XII should be offered to students. The commission also suggested principals to inform the authorities concerned in this regard to do the needful.
