Children’s Day was celebrated at GMHS, Sector 29, Chandigarh. City Mayor Harpreet Kaur Babla was chief guest. She inaugurated ‘Bal Mela’. Students of the school had themselves organised various stalls of food and games. She released a table calendar made by children. The event was supported by the Fire Awareness & Safety Association (FASA). School Headmistress Manjula Khanna extended warm wishes to the children and invited everyone to work together towards creating a brighter future for children, a future that is filled with hope, opportunity and endless possibilities. Jasjyot Singh Almast, president, and Shikha Nijhawan, vice-president of FASA, jointly lauded the efforts of the school authorities for organising such events and requested all to join hands to create a world that is inclusive, supportive and empowering for every child.
