Children's Day celebrated with enthusiasm

Goodwill International School, VPO Dhadiala Natt

The school organised a special programme on the Children’s Day to commemorate the birth anniversary of our first Prime Minister Pt Jawaharlal Nehru. Various online competitions were conducted. In the solo dance competition, Seeratjot Kaur of Class VI and Nobalpreet Kaur of Class V bagged the first and second spot, respectively. In the fancy dress contest, Jashandeep Singh of Class I and Anmol Singh of Nursery came first and second, respectively. Director/Principal appreciated the efforts of teachers and congratulate the winners and participants.

AKSIPS-41 Smart School, Chandigarh

Planet Pals of the school’s eco and swacch bharat club organised “Joy of Giving Day”. The club incharges while following all the Covid-19 safety norms, distributed ‘amla’ to the residents of Sector 41. This campaign was organised to make the people aware of the herbal and medicinal importance of Gooseberry, popularly known as ‘amla’ to enhance one’s immune system.

Delhi Public School, Khanna

Zeal and enthusiasm marked the virtual celebration of the school’s tenth Founder’s Day. Nine-time World Billiards Champion Geet Sethi was the chief guest on the occasion. Alok Kumar (Member, Management Committee) and Priya Shergill (Trustee) were the guests of honour. The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by Principal S Mukherjee. Tiny tots rocked the stage with their show ‘Hope Never Ends’. The improvement in the environment was depicted through a play — “Rejuvenation of Nature during COVID-19” by the students of Class III. Khushdeep Kaur of Class X received the award for the ‘Best Participant in Virtual Assemblies’. A short play on social media and youth highlighted the menace of social media and its ill effects on the young generation. Students set the stage on fire with their ‘bhangra’ performance. Chairman DS Bains stated that the pandemic has taught new skills to the students and helped them compete at the global level. The programme concluded with the National Anthem.
