A grand morning assembly and a special programme were held in the Sapling Branch on the campus of Motilal Nehru Public School, Jind, to commemorate Children’s Day. The school children presented various cultural programmes. Students from grades I to V performed captivating dances in colourful costumes, while students from the higher grades enacted a short play on Nehru’s life and thoughts. From nursery to UKG, the children celebrated Children’s Day with great enthusiasm, playing games. The children won everyone’s hearts with their innocent gestures and creativity. The teachers narrated special stories to the children, and a slide show based on “Chacha Nehru” was presented, through which the children learned about inspiring incidents from Nehru’s life.
