Christmas celebrations in virtual mode this year


Delhi Public School, Ambala

On the occasion of Christmas, the school organised various activities for students of all classes. The celebration commenced with the online prayer meeting. The students watched a short film based on the life and teachings of Jesus Christ. Tiny tots from Nursery to Class I decorated the Christmas tree at home. Pupils of the Primary wing decorated the tree with bells, stockings, candles and gifts in a creative fashion. The students of classes VI - XII showed their enthusiasm by making wind chimes. Principal Amita Dhaka applauded the students for their efforts and wished everyone a happy Christmas.


Adarsh Public School, Chandigarh

Teachers and students organised a virtual pre-Christmas celebration. The school premises was decorated by the teachers with balloons and streamers. Carlos were sung and enjoyed by one and all.


DAV School, Alampur

Christmas was celebrated through a virtual platform. Activities like Christmas tree decoration with lamps, toys and flowers, card making, painting Christmas tree on drawing sheets ( to name a few) were conducted for the students. Speeches were also delivered to mark the importance of the day. Best entries were posted in the online groups. Principal Bikram Singh wished everyone on the occasion.


Ryan International School, Mohali

Christmas celebrations were in full swing as the school marked the day with a special assembly. The festive spirit was enjoyed by all. Tiny tots celebrated the day by exhibiting their talent through songs and dance performances. The day commenced by seeking the blessings of the Almighty followed by Bible reading and a special prayer. The atmosphere reverberated with prayer songs and melody of carols. Junior and senior students participated in games and activities enthusiastically.


St Joseph’s Sen Sec School, Chd

To prepare the students for a better tomorrow, the school organised an online interactive training session. School doctor Dr Megha Sharma acquainted the students and teachers with various do's and don'ts to be followed in case of day to day accidents like a burn, fracture, dog bite etc. Through a Presentation, she talked of commonly occurring situations and how to handle those.


Satluj Public School, Panchkula

The first-ever virtual 'Satluj Spectacular Baby Show' and 'Satluj Concurso De Talentos' (The Grand Talent Show) was organised. 'Grand Baby Show' was held for children from 0 to 5 years of age. Awards were given to the participants in categories like healthy child, cute smile, well-dressed baby, active child, best smile; etc. RJ Shatabdi from 93.5 Red FM, Aru Vashisth DPO, Women and Child development , Haryana, were the guests of honour.


Solitaire International School, Pkl

Beating all odds, the school's Santa Claus reached out to the students at their door steps. ‘Solitaire Santa’ distributed gifts, candies and also tapped his feet with children who were most delighted to meet him. He also reached the children who belong to less privileged strata of society and brought joy to them.


Shivalik Public School, Chandigarh

Students recited poems, showed presentations and delivered speeches on martyrdom day of four 'sahibzadas'. Teachers enlightened students about the sacrifices made by them. Pupils wholeheartedly participated in the activities and paid homage to Guru Gobind Singh and his family. Meanwhile, the school also celebrated Kisan Diwas. Powerful slogans on farmers and farming were made. As many as 300 students took part in the activity. Teachers made the students aware about the significance of the day and asked them to thank farmers for the continuous effort for the production of crops.
