The school organised a recycling of newspaper activity to make decorative items such as dolls, pen stand, wall hangings, etc for Class IV and V students, focusing on recycling and waste management. The initiative was part of the Environment Education Programme of the Union Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change. The Punjab State Council for Science and Technology (PCST), Chandigarh, provided financial support for the activity. DAV College, Jalandhar, served as the nodal agency for DAV schools in Punjab. Under the guidance of Principal Sarita Yadav, students showcased their creativity by transforming discarded paper bags into innovative items.
