Haryana government will appoint counsellors to give counselling to school students. These counsellors will be selected from the permanent PGT (Psychology) teachers serving in government schools of the state.

An official spokesperson said that the state government has decided to appoint counsellors to resolve the problems being faced by school students. These PGT (Psychology) teachers of government schools of the state who have done ‘Diploma in Counselling’ can apply for the post of teacher counsellor by February 2, 2022.

The spokesperson further said that the teachers who had applied for the post of counsellor in 2020 will have to apply afresh.

He said that the counsellors already working in ‘Umeed’ centres can also apply for change of district.
