CVRM DAV Public School, Dera Bassi, celebrated Guru Nanak Dev's birthday. The day began with the recitation of Sukhmani Sahib Path, followed by soul-stirring kirtan and shabad performances that filled the premises with spiritual energy. The highlight of the event was the langar organised for students and parents, embodying the spirit of seva and community service. School Principal Sarita Yadav herself carried Guru Granth Sahib on her head, emphasising the importance of the occasion. She added that by organising such events, the school aims to instil values of compassion, humility and service in its students, inspiring them to become responsible and empathetic individuals. The celebration was a perfect blend of spirituality and community bonding, leaving a lasting impact on all attendees.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
