The school organised a science quiz competition for the students of classes V to VIII. The competition was held in four phases — Bujho to Jaano, visual and board work, activity phase and rapid fire — in which the 16 students from four teams — JC Bosh team, CV Raman team, Dr Vikram Sarabhai team and Dr APJ Abdul Kalam team — participated. Along with the participants, the audience also answered the questions with full confidence when the questions were asked to them. The first position was grabbed by the JC Bosh team consisting students Manvi, Ayush, Sanvi and Nikunj . The second position was won by the CV Raman team, including students Noor, Yug, Sukriti and Arman. The third position was won by the Dr Vikram Sarabhai team having students Ajitesh, Kavya, Ishant and Yuvraj.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
