DAV Centenary Public School, Mandi, hosted the inauguration of the DAV State Level Football Tournament 2025-26 at Paddal Ground, bringing together 12 teams from five clusters to showcase their talent, teamwork and sportsmanship. The tournament is officiated by five experienced sports officials, ensuring fair play and high standards. The ceremony was graced by Chief Guest Dinesh Kumar, DSP Mandi, who inspired the young athletes with words of encouragement. Other dignitaries present included Prashant Sharma, Principal of DAV Nerchowk and Deepika Sharma, Principal of DAV Jamthal, adding prestige to the occasion. In his welcome address, Principal KS Guleria motivated budding footballers, emphasising the importance of sports in instilling discipline, unity and resilience. He stated, "This tournament is not just about competition but also about building friendships, team spirit and character. I am confident our players will uphold the values of fair play and excellence."
