The school organised a dance competition for all students where 500 students participated in the first round and out of them 170 students were selected for the final round. Students flaunted their talent and won prizes in different categories. From LKG to Class II the winners are Avni, Sukhman, Samandeep, Preet, Anika and Keerat. From classes III to VIII remarkable performances were given by Aaradhya, Lakshita, Anshu, Lavanya, Tanvi and Angel. The judges for the function were Pulkit, Gaurav and Suman Bala. Anjana Pandey (Principal, DAV School, Sector 9) and Mamta Pandey (Principal, DAV Centenary Public School, Indri Road) were invited to give awards to students. Principal Mantoshpal Singh congratulated the winners.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
