The school organised a ‘Conserve wetland’ activity for Class VI students, focusing on cleaning the environment on World WetLands Day on Ghaggar river. The initiative was part of the Environment Education Programme of the Union Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change. The Punjab State Council for Science and Technology (PCST), Chandigarh, provided financial support for the activity. DAV College, Jalandhar, served as the nodal agency for DAV schools in Punjab. Under the guidance of Principal Sarita Yadav, students went to clean nearby Ghaggar river. The activity promoted environmental awareness, education, and sustainable practices among school students. The success of the initiative highlights the collaborative efforts of PCST, DAV College, Jalandhar, and the school in promoting environmental education and sustainability.
