DAV Public School, Jind, welcomes National Games’ winners
The students who won the National Games were welcomed by taking out a victory procession in school. Dozens of students who got first, second and third place in the National Games and Khelo India took part in the procession. A victory procession was taken out for the students who represented India in China at the international and national level. As many as 105 students of the school took part in the victory procession and brought laurels to Jind district by winning medals at the state, national and international level. Principal Rashmi Vidyarthi said this year two dozen students have won medals in fencing. The welcome procession was flagged off by Brig Ashok Kumar Adalkha from school. The ‘Vijay Rath Yatra’ passed through Urban Estate, Safidon Gate, Rani Talab, Rupee Chowk, Shiv Chowk, Patiala Chowk, Sector 7, 8, 9 and returned to the school, where everyone danced and sang and praised all students. The city residents distributed ‘laddus’ to all winning players. Dr Dharmdev Vidyarthi, Director of Haryana Literature and Culture Academy, said the Haryana Government is ready to promote sports. Those who win awards in National Games and Khelo India are given prizes worth lakhs by the government.
