DAV Public School, New Shimla
The school hosted a CBSE-organised workshop on the National Curriculum Framework (NCF), bringing together educators to discuss curriculum transformation in alignment with NEP. Speaking on the occasion, Principal Rakesh Kumar Chandel stated, “The NCF workshop is a vital step towards equipping our educators with the tools needed to implement meaningful changes in the classroom.” The workshop, led by CBSE resource persons Anupama Sharma and Aarti, aimed to familiarise teachers with the foundational principles of the NCF, focusing on competency-based education, experiential learning, and holistic development. Sessions were interactive and covered classroom strategies, assessment reforms, and integration of 21st-century skills. The session aimed to deepen educators’ understanding of the latest updates in the NCF and how it aligns with the goals of the National Education Policy (NEP). Both resource persons, experienced and respected in the field of education, guided the participants through key components of the NCF, focusing on foundational, preparatory, middle, and secondary stages of schooling. The workshop highlighted competency-based learning, holistic development, integration of local knowledge, and the importance of multilingualism in education. Interactive discussions, engaging activities, and real-life applications made the session highly effective. Teachers and educational leaders from various institutions attended and found the workshop enriching and practically useful for implementing NEP-aligned changes in their classrooms. The event was well-received, with active participation from teachers who appreciated the hands-on approach and collaborative learning environment, said Venue Director Lovleen Sood. The workshop concluded with a commitment from all participants to adopt NCF guidelines in their teaching practices, ensuring student-centred and future-ready education.
