Youth Ideathon-2024 has proven that India’s school students are brimming with ideas and potentials. It is a proud moment for the school when Principal Vivek Tiwari, the head of the institution, was bestowed with the Principal Award in financial literacy among three principals in north region. More than 58,000 ideas were submitted from 6,000 schools of the country wherein approximately 2 lakh students participated in every event. DAV Public School, Patiala, won the fifth position for submitting more than 1,000 ideas among 6,000 schools. Upaasna Madaan (in charge, design,thinking and innovation cell) was honoured fourth time with the teacher of innovation award in silver category and grabbed silver medal with appreciation certificate. Neelu Jain (computer teacher) clinched bronze medal and was honoured by teacher of innovation award.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
