The school came alive with vibrant festivities as the school celebrated Lohri with great enthusiasm and fervour. The event marked the onset of the harvest season and provided an opportunity for students and staff to immerse themselves in the rich cultural heritage of Punjab. The celebrations began with a traditional bonfire lit by Principal Monika Paliwal, accompanied by faculty members. The bonfire, a symbol of prosperity and togetherness, was adorned with offerings of peanuts, popcorn, and rewri, as everyone gathered around to sing traditional Lohri songs. The cultural extravaganza featured mesmerising performances by students, who showcased their talent through folk dances like gidda and bhangra, dressed in vibrant Punjabi attire. The beats of the dhol added energy to the performances, captivating the audience and creating an electrifying atmosphere. Students also presented a skit highlighting the historical and cultural significance of Lohri, making the event both educational and entertaining. The celebration concluded with the distribution of festive treats, leaving everyone in high spirits.
