DAV School, Manai, students win medals in state-level sports competitions

Students of the school excelled in various state-level competitions. The U-19 boys’ athletics team emerged as overall winners at the state-level competition held at DAV, Hamirpur. Ashish got gold medal in U-19 100 m and 200 m races and became the best athlete of the tournament. Anshul got gold medal in U-19 400 m and 800 m races. Satyam got gold medal in U-19 long jump and high jump. Mohit got silver medal in U-19 discus throw. Ricky got bronze medal in U-19 1,500 m race. Anshul, Aditya, Mohit and Ricky got silver in U-19 4*400 relay race. Ashish, Mohit, Divyansh and Satyam got gold medal in U-19 4*100 m relay. Saksham got gold medals in U-17 long jump and high jump. Piyush got silver medal in U-17 discus throw. Bhavika got gold medal in U-17 discus throw. Palak got silver medal in U-17 1,500 m race and bronze medal in 800 m race.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
