Parul, Class VIII student of the school, was honoured for her excellent performance in social work in the programme ‘Naaz Hai Betiyon Pe’. The programme was organised at NIILM University situated on Ambala Road, Kaithal. Former state minister Kamlesh Dhanda and Municipal Council Chairperson Surabhi Garg honoured Parul by giving her a letter of appreciation. Parul has been working in the field of plantation for the last few years. She is also working for the conservation of the environment and birds. On reaching the school, Parul was honoured in the assembly after offering prayers. She was praised by all teachers during the assembly in the school.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
