Invoking the blessings of Goddess Saraswati, the students celebrated Basant Panchami in the school. The kindergarten section enjoyed the celebration with gaiety and religious fervour. The celebration started with ‘Saraswati Vandana’ and ‘shloka’ recitation by students in the morning assembly. The tiny tots offered garland and yellow ‘prasad’ to the goddess. All students and teachers attired themselves in yellow with yellow ‘tilak’ on their foreheads and relished the ‘prasad’ together. The students also brought yellow eatables and were told the significance of the auspicious day in the morning assembly by their teachers. Another exciting event on the occasion was traditional kite flying competition for the students of classes VI to IX. It was held in the school playground to add fun, gaiety and excitement to the celebration. The sky seemed to be covered with the colourful kites. The spirit of competition among the students made the event energetic and zealous. Director of the school Usha Gupta extended her greetings on the occasion and applauded the participants for their enthusiastic participation. Principal Deepika Bharadwaj extended her wishes to everyone and applauded the students’ efforts.
