School students celebrated Earth Day with energy and creativity. Students of classes IV and VIII conducted a special assembly to honour kind and giving Mother Earth. They performed a role-play and a nukkad natak based on the Earth Day theme, and it was truly heart-warming to hear their thoughts. Younger students showed their artistic talents by making Earth models using hand impressions. They also decorated flowerpots with thumbprints, using bright and beautiful colours to represent the beauty of nature. A powerful presentation was given to highlight the need to spread awareness about the damage being done to our planet. Teachers spoke to the students, stressing the importance of planting trees, afforestation, and how everyone must work together to protect the Earth. To end the celebration, students formed a human chain and took a pledge to grow more plants and take care of the environment. Director Usha Gupta spoke about the importance of planning such activities that promote sustainability.
