DC Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 7, Panchkula

Students of the school participated in the 37th Annual Basant Utsav held at Town Park in Panchkula. The school’s students excelled in all the competitions organised by the Panchkula Metropolitan Development Authority (PMDA). In the rangoli-making competition, the team of Kulsum, Aasvi, Tanvi and Inayat bagged the first position in the junior category, whereas Priya, Shivani, Aanchal and Dishita won the second position in the senior category. Saurav and Aditya got the first position in Environmental Quiz in senior group and Manvik and Arnav Awasthi got the third position in the junior category. Ruchi and Nayra secured first positions in both the categories in the tattoo-making competition. In the face-painting competition, Mantript and Samiksha bagged the first and second positions in both the categories, respectively. In the pot-painting competition, Harman, Aarohi and Ambieka bagged the first and second positions, respectively. Jugraj got the second position in the junior category of Hasya Kavita. In the mehndi competition, Tamanna and Sarika got the first and second positions, respectively, in both the categories. Pavika and Aasvi bagged the third positions in both the categories in the fancy dress competition. The dance team of Khanak and Mannat in the senior category bagged the first position in the duet dance competition. Dhanistha Joshi and Peehu won the first and second position in the junior and senior categories of solo singing. Folk dance girls bagged the first position in the senior category. Managing Director Bharat B Gupta and Director of the school Usha Gupta were elated at the achievements of all participants and thanked their staff who put their best in shaping the students and giving such a stupendous show in spite of the pressure of the annual exams. Principal Deepika Bhardwaj was all praise for the participants and the staff who left no stone unturned in bringing glory to the school.
