A session on “Menstrual Health and Hygiene” was organised for the girls of classes V to VII to address the physical, hormonal, and emotional changes associated with adolescence and provide guidance on coping with these changes. The session was conducted by Procter and Gamble (P&G) in the school auditorium and was hosted by Isha Malhotra, a resource person specialised in this field. Isha Malhotra sensitised the girls to the importance of maintaining proper health and hygiene during menstruation. She discussed the availability, usage, and proper disposal of various sanitary products and highlighted simple practices for ensuring environmental hygiene both at school and home. She addressed queries from the students regarding myths and misconceptions about menstruation, types of menstrual cycles, challenges faced during menstruation, and effective management strategies. Approximately 90 students attended the session, equipping themselves with essential knowledge on menstrual hygiene management. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Principal Vishali Kaushal, who endorsed the importance of personal hygiene as a cornerstone of self-confidence and overall well-being.
