Students of Class IX at the school hosted their class show “Tasher Desh - The Kingdom of Cards” — a satirical play by Rabindranath Tagore — on the occasion of Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony. Celebrating the tragi-comedy of life, the performance showcased the students’ artistic talent and understanding of lofty themes of freedom and individuality. Diprava Lakra, Finance Secretary, UT, Chandigarh, was the chief guest. The show opened with ‘Ganesh Vandana’. Then the zealous students put up a spectacular show by satirising the most prevalent ills of society with a humorous take on them. Students conveyed an artistic burlesque on societal norms with a covert message to the audience to introspect and herald a change. School Director Reema Dewan addressed the gathering, expressing heartfelt appreciation for the awardees and students who made the event successful. She stated, “Delhi Public School is committed to fostering academic excellence and holistic development in its students.” The event concluded with a vote of thanks and a renewed sense of motivation among students to strive for excellence in their academic pursuits.
