Delhi Public School, Khanna, celebrated its 15th Junior Founders Day. Tarunpreet Singh Sond, Cabinet Minister, Punjab, was the chief guest. The highlight of the day was the performance of the toddlers of the pre-primary wing who lit up the stage with their marvellous theatre production ‘The Universe’, conveying the message ‘Save Earth’. Tarunpreet Singh Sond lauded the sincere efforts of the young Dipsites in saving Mother Earth. The programme began with the lamp-lighting ceremony, after which the enchanting DPS choir swayed the audience with a euphonious song, ‘Together’. The welcome dance, ‘Magic in the Air’, created a warm and uplifting atmosphere for the event. This was followed by an engaging presentation of a Panchatantra story by the budding artistes of grades IV and V. Through their lively performance, the young actors effectively conveyed the important moral that one should never believe in rumours. One must always verify the facts before taking any action. Headmistress Mamta Ghai read the school report and acquainted the parents with the achievements of the school in the current academic session. The rising stars of Grade I to III spread the vibrant colours of Punjab on the stage with their stunning performance of bhangra. The chairman announced the establishment of an IAS Study Circle at the school, aimed at preparing students for the prestigious civil services. He expressed his hope that, in the coming years, he would see students from the school walking the corridors of the IAS Academy in Mussoorie. Head Girl Inayat Aggarwal proposed the vote of thanks.
