As part of the ongoing Eco Diwali Celebration – “Deep-O-Jwala: A unique way to celebrate Diwali”, KB DAV Senior Secondary Public School, Sector 7-B, Chandigarh, witnessed a vibrant showcase of creativity and festivity. The day brimmed with artistic energy as students celebrated Diwali through colours, patterns, and imagination. The highlight of the day was the interschool rangoli competition – “Rangavali: A Colour Splash!”, which saw participation from 10 reputed schools across the Tricity. Young artists displayed their flair by designing intricate rangolis using coloured rice, sand, flowers, mirrors, beads, and diyas, each reflecting the spirit of an eco-friendly Diwali. Adding to the festive excitement, New Public School, Sector 18, Chandigarh, dazzled the judges with its breath-taking design to bag the first position, while DAV Model School, Sector 15-A, Chandigarh, impressed with its symmetry and colour harmony to secure second position. The third position was clinched by DAV Public School, Surajpur, whose vibrant floral pattern beautifully captured the theme of sustainable celebrations. Simultaneously, an interclass Rangoli competition for Class X transformed the school corridors into a lively corridor of colours and festive charm. Principal Pooja Prakash appreciated the students’ dedication and artistry, encouraging them to continue celebrating Diwali in creative and environment-friendly ways.
