An English Declamation Competition was organised by The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) in observance of “Vigilance Awareness Week” on the topic — ‘Vigilance our Shared Responsibility’ at DAV Police Public School, Karnal. Out of seven schools from in and around the city, Paridhi of Class VIII bagged the first prize.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
