More than 200 students from 19 Delhi Public Schools from across the country competed against each other in multiple, highly challenging online and onsite events. School Director Reema Dewan inaugurated the two-day festival. On the second day, Anindita Mitra IAS, Administrative Secretary, Higher Education & School Education, Punjab, was the chief guest. The online events included Recreating Nek Chand, Gene-ius Farming among others to test the consciousness and understanding of the Sustainable Development Goals. In the category of onsite events, the school witnessed the confluence of creativity and ingenuity in events like Jute Jamboree (Calendar Creation), Greenovation (App Making), Trash Bots (Puppetry), Neo Gaia (Exhibition) and Silencio Verde (Mime), all aimed at promoting and encouraging awareness about the crucial role of humans to respect, protect and preserve the natural world. Director Reema Dewan said the school is the trailblazer of critical and creative learning and vanguard of the educational motto of the DPS Society. In her address, she urged the students to realise the urgency of sustainable development and how important environment concerns are, to secure a healthy and sustainable future. The event ended with an invigorating valedictory function with DPS, RK Puram bagging the overall trophy.
