A one-day workshop on 'Environmental Studies' was organised by CBSE, Centre for Excellence (CoE), Panchkula at the school. The workshop was attended by 61 teachers from various schools from Himachal Pradesh. The workshop started with lamp lighting and rendition of DAV anthem. Resource persons were felicitated. Principal Anupam welcomed the guests and participants and said that creating awareness about the environment and taking step to restore it is the need of the hour. The resource persons Kamna Beri and Vega Sharma started the session on a discussion on sustainable development. The National Curriculum frame work with respect to Environmental Science was discussed.Various case studies pertaining to Environmental concerns were discussed. Feedback was shared by the teachers at the end of the workshop.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
