Founder's Day at Sainik School, Kunjpura

The school marked its 65th Founder's Day, honouring the vision of its founder, VK Krishna Menon. Major General Sanjay Hooda, Chief of Staff, HQ 2 Corps, presided over the event as chief guest. The day began with the chief guest laying a wreath at the Sai Kunj War Memorial, followed by a Guard of Honour from the cadets. The function, held under the aegis of Principal Captain (IN) Gurbir Singh, also included an Investiture Ceremony where the chief guest pinned the ranks on the newly appointed cadet leaders and administered the oath of office. The Principal presented the Annual Report, after which the chief guest lauded the school's 100 per cent pass results in classes X and XII and the selection of cadets for the 153rd and 154th NDA courses. The annual award ceremony recognized top performers, including academic toppers - Cadet Sahil (Class XII, 90.6 per cent), Cadet Aaryan (Class X, 97.6 per cent), Cadet Anushka Raj (Class VIII, 98.7 per cent, awarded the Maj Gen Prem Sagar Trophy), and Cadet Bhumit (Class XI, 90.4 per cent, awarded the UK Bakshi Memorial Trophy); prestigious individual trophies - the best all-rounder trophy was awarded to former School Captain, Cadet Madhur Singal, while Cadet Rishabh Tripathi won the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Trophy for securing the highest rank in the UPSC NDA/NA exam; the house trophies - Chillianwala House was the standout performer, winning the Champions of Champions Trophy for the third time in four years, along with the Overall Best House (senior & junior), Sports (senior & junior), and Academics (senior) trophies. Other key winners were Shakargarh House (Best Academics and Overall Best House in the Holding Houses category) and Thaneshwar House (NDA Trophy). The celebration concluded with a group photograph and a High Lunch in the Cadets' Mess, reaffirming the school's motto, 'Siddhim Sannadh' - 'Ready to Accomplish'.
