GD Goenka Public School, Mohali, in collaboration with the Government of India, the Food and Drugs Administration, Punjab, Herbalife, Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM, and Gaana, hosted the Eat Right, Stay Healthy Walkathon and Mela to promote healthy eating habits and wellness. The walkathon was flagged off by Parminder Pal Singh Sandhu, IAS, Municipal Commissioner, Mohali. Punjab Governor graced the event as the chief guest and addressed the gathering on the importance of mindful food choices. Ravneet Sidhu, Director, Food and Drugs Lab, Mohali, also shared insights on food safety and dietary practices. Students presented Saraswati Vandana, dance performances and even the National Anthem in sign language, highlighting inclusivity and cultural richness. Adding youthful energy to the celebration, RJ Omika engaged the audience with her lively presence. Dignitaries later visited the 'Eat Right Mela' stalls, appreciating the student-led displays of nutritious food options and awareness activities. The event concluded with a strong message from Principal Gurpreet Kaur Prakash to embrace sustainable and healthy food practices: "Eat Right, Eat Healthy."
