The programme of planting trees was started at the school under the theme of ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ in the supervision of school in-charge Bharti and Ramneesh Lakhanpal. Tree planting was first started with the Class VI and all children were encouraged to plant as many trees as possible.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
