To celebrate vanmahotsav under the theme ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’, 50 saplings of various fruit, medicinal, shade and floral trees were planted on the campus of the school. The plantation was carried out with the blessing of special guests Gurinder Singh Sodhi, Joint Commissioner 1, Municipal Corporation, Chandigarh, and SLO Dr Nemi Chand. Both guests motivated the students to look after these saplings till they become trees. A nukkad natak on the importance of growing trees was presented by volunteers of NSS and Eco Club. Students prepared posters on the importance of plantation, and display boards were prepared for the awareness on the benefits of tree plantation. A workshop on paper bag making was also organised for the students of classes VI to VIII by a team the of the Municipal Corporation. Best entries of ‘Life’ competitions organised in June were awarded.
