Students celebrated Good Governance Day to pay homage to former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. They reflected their views through ‘slogan writing’. Teachers informed them that good governance was the key to progress of the nation.

Jiten Kumar, the programmer from the Election Department, made a PPT presentation for NSS volunteers. He highlighted the election process and brought to the notice of volunteers certain deep information about the election and voting process. The valedictory function of the NSS camp under the theme: “Fight Covid menace with precautions and grace” at the school was attended by Bikram Rana, State Liaison Officer, Chandigarh Administration. Various activities were performed by volunteers during the seven-day camp. At the end, 10 titles were given away to the most-deserving volunteers. While Sarthak Sharma was adjudged the Best Volunteer (Male), Pratibha Beniwal walked away with the Best Volunteer (Female) title.

The school’s Kindergarten wing organised a show-and-tell activity for the students. The tiny tots of KG participated in the activity and spoke a few lines on land and sea creatures. They also shared some amazing facts related to the types, habitat and food of these creatures. These kids were excited to share their narration. The activity not only helped to establish the social, emotional and language skills of students, but was also instrumental in building up their self-confidence and self-esteem.


DAV Public School, Alampur

The school celebrated New Year with enthusiasm and conducted various activities to mark the day. Various themes were given to the students of different classes. The students of LKG and UKG made a New Year cards and the students of classes I to III made the New Year cap and also decorated the balloons. Children of classes IV to VII drew a family tree poster and wrote an essay on the importance of family. Students of classes VIII to XII wrote their New Year resolutions and goals. They also wrote an article on my weakness and how I will make it my strength. Principal Bikram Singh wished the students and parents on the occasion.
