Govt Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 35, Chandigarh

Athletes of the school, Suraj Singh, Sumit Rajput, Abhay Singh and Bhagwan Singh, under the guidance and supervision of sports teacher Kuldeep Mehra, won silver medal in 4x100m relay race in the Inter-School Annual Athletic Meet 2024-25 organised by the Education Department, Chandigarh, at Sports Complex, Sector 7-B, Chandigarh. The school’s athletes showed marvellous results in track and field events. In the U-19 girls’ category, Sohani and Radhika won gold and silver medals in the hammer throw event, Himanshi won silver medal in 3000 m race, and Mokshita won bronze medal in 1500 m race. Sohani and Radhika also won gold and silver medals in javelin throw. In the U-17 boys’ category, team of Abhay Singh, Sumit Rajput, Suraj Singh and Bhagwan Singh won silver medal in 4x100m relay race. Suraj Singh and Mohit aslo won silver and bronze medals in javelin throw event. The school’s 100m sprinter Abhay Singh won bronze medal in 100 m race. Principal of the school Nirdosh Kumari and staff members congratulated the participants and sports teacher Kuldeep Mehra.
