Govt Model Sr Sec School, Sec 21A, Chandigarh, celebrated Children's Day. The celebration highlighted Pt Jawaharlal Nehru’s deep affection for children and his contributions to nation-building. Yashpal Sharma delivered a speech on Nehru’s life and achievements. Students presented various dance performances. Later, refreshments were distributed to all students.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
