The NSS units and Banyan Eco Club of Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 32-C, Chandigarh, organised a sapling plantation drive on the school campus. Neena Kalia, DDSE-III and Dr. Nemichand Goliya, State Liaison Officer, NSS, Chandigarh, graced the occasion and planted saplings along with the school Principal Ashu Walia, NSS programme officers Dr. Prachi Mann, Dr. Praveen and NSS volunteers. Dr. Nemichand motivated the volunteers to spread awareness about the role played by trees in balancing the ecosystem. Kalia encouraged the volunteers to take care of the saplings planted by them.
