St Theresa Convent Senior Secondary School, Karnal, hosted its grand annual sports day – “Athletic Extravaganza 2K25”. The event commenced with a warm welcome to chief guest Jagmohan Anand, MLA, and special guest Sister Erasma, school Manager, who were received by Principal Sister Lavina Pinto, Vice-Principal Sister Sujata, and Headmistresses Sister Tara and Sister Natal. NCC cadets and school band set a majestic tone as they escorted the dignitaries to the ground. A soulful prayer song and welcome dance infused the event with divine grace. The school SPL, Avika, introduced the day’s theme, emphasising that sports nurture discipline, unity, and confidence beyond competition. The chief guest and special guest ceremoniously hoisted the school flag, followed by the oath of sportsmanship administered by Principal Sister Lavina Pinto, marking the formal inauguration of the games. Throughout the day, students showcased exceptional performances in track and field events, taekwondo, football, and basketball, demonstrating determination, teamwork, and true sporting spirit. Outstanding performers from grades X and XII, along with the Best Athletes in various categories, were felicitated for their achievements. The cultural interludes — a lively garba and a spirited Punjabi dance — added colour and festivity to the occasion.
