Grandparents’ Day celebrated

GD Goenka Public School, Mohali, wore a festive look as Grandparents’ Day was celebrated with immense enthusiasm and joy. The celebration was based on the retro theme – “From Lap to Laptops”, beautifully showcasing the journey of generations. Students from Nursery to Class II presented a delightful array of performances, including soulful songs, dances and a heart-warming skit. Their vibrant presentations filled the atmosphere with cheer and affection. Adding to the excitement were specially designed games for grandparents, which brought moments of fun, frolic and cheer. A special highlight of the day was the ramp walk by teachers, which added a glamorous touch to the retro theme and left the audience applauding with delight. The event was further enriched by the inspiring words of Principal Gurpreet Kaur Prakash, who highlighted the invaluable role of grandparents in nurturing values, imparting wisdom and strengthening family bonds. Grandparents, overwhelmed with joy, expressed their gratitude for being honoured on their special day. Their emotional words reflected the deep love and pride they felt on this special day. The celebration concluded on a joyous note as the school management hosted a grand refreshment for all, making the day even more delightful.
