Guided by a teacher’s light

Teachers play a vital role in shaping our lives, guiding us not just academically, but also in becoming better human beings. Among all the teachers I’ve had, the one who inspired me the most is Surbhi, my Geography teacher. She is not only an excellent educator but also a deeply caring and compassionate person.

Surbhi’s teaching style makes learning truly enjoyable. She doesn’t merely read from the textbook — she brings each topic to life through examples, real-life stories and engaging explanations. Her classes are always lively and never dull and she encourages us to ask questions and share our thoughts without fear.

What I admire most about my teacher is her unwavering positivity. She always wears a smile and motivates every student to believe in themselves. She often reminds us that every student is unique and capable of achieving great things with effort. Whenever I felt disheartened or doubted my abilities, her words lifted me and helped restore my confidence.

Beyond academics, she instils strong values in us — honesty, kindness, perseverance and humanity. She often says while marks matter, being a good human being matters more. I deeply respect her for treating everyone with equal kindness and never using harsh words with any student. She has shown me education is not just about books, but about becoming a better person. I aspire to be like her — confident, kind and always ready to help others.

In the end, I can proudly say I am a student of Surbhi. She truly changed my perspective and gave me the courage to dream bigger. I will always cherish her lessons and do my best to make her proud.
