Brookfield International School, New Chandigarh, celebrated the Gurpurb of Guru Nanak Dev. Students from Pre-Nursery to Class XII participated in the celebrations marked by spiritual performances and creative activities. A special assembly hosted by Class VII ‘Beta’ inspired everyone with the eternal teachings of Guru Nanak Dev. Beautiful rangoli designs and ‘langar’ service by students added grace to the event. The celebration began with soulful ‘shabad kirtan’ by students, followed by the singing of devotional hymns by teachers, creating a peaceful divine atmosphere. Students showcased a dramatic presentation based on episodes from Guru Nanak Dev’s life, emphasising the values of truth, humility and compassion. Junior students expressed their devotion through a rangoli competition, illustrating sacred Sikh symbols, while senior students performed ‘langar’ service reflecting Guru’s message of selfless service. The event concluded with a special stage act depicting Guru’s fundamental principles — “Naam Japna, Kirat Karni and Vand Chhakna”, inspiring peace, love and harmony among all attendees.
