Social Studies Week was observed in the school for classes I to X. The students of classes I to V made model of globe, flash cards, different types of houses, placards and displayed information on different means of communication. Class V students dressed up as freedom fighters and spoke about their contributions to attain freedom. Classes VI to VIII had a speaking activity on various topics like ‘Endangered species’, ‘Freedom fighters’, ‘Indian personalities’ and they also prepared working models on ‘Water harvesting’, ‘Solar cooker’, ‘Biodiversity’, etc. As part of Independence Day celebration, students of Class VIII performed a role-play on Dandi March, made story board on different nationalist movements. Classes IX and X designed pamphlets and wrote a report on social movements and designed a poster on untouchability. They also designed pamphlets on soil conservation and performed a role-play on how to conserve soil. A quiz was conducted in Class X. Principal Poonam Sharma said it helps in raising the awareness of students about issues related to their daily lives as well as the vast diversity of the world.
