Gurukul Global School, Sector-13, Chandigarh, celebrated Dasehra with great enthusiasm and devotion in the esteemed presence of the school's MD, president, director, principal, vice-principal, and the wider school community. The day began with kindergarten students dressed as characters from the 'Ramayana', beautifully capturing the essence of the epic. The celebration's highlight was the burning of Ravana's effigy, symbolising the eternal victory of good over evil. Students also watched a short animated film on the 'Ramayana', which explained the festival's significance in an engaging and educational manner. The event reinforced the values of courage, truth, and righteousness, inspiring students to follow the path of virtue in their own lives. The celebration concluded with a message that Dasehra continues to teach the timeless power of goodness over evil.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
