The Kindergarten students of Bhartiya Public School, Derabassi, celebrated the international festival of Halloween. To familiarise the students with the festival, teachers showed a video explaining how it is celebrated in the West. The students came dressed in various outfits, such as ghosts, witches, vampires and bats, to mark the welcoming of good spirits and driving away bad spirits. The event aimed to help students learn about and appreciate cultural differences, global festivals and their values. The school's multipurpose hall was decorated with eerie and scary themes, including a distinctive spooky corner. The children were also shown pumpkins and learned how they are carved for Halloween. The celebration concluded with a song and dance presentation to the tune of "Halloween Stomp", leaving the students with a memorable experience.
