The festivities began with a ‘havan’ ceremony, attended by Swami Vivekanand, Director, Yog Darshan Mahavidyalaya, Jaskiran Harike, Manager, Hansraj Public School, and Principals from various DAV institutions in the Tricity. The school premises were filled with an aura of spirituality as students recited ‘Ved Mantra’, ‘bhajans’, and prayers during the morning assembly. A series of competitions, including declamation, elocution, quiz, poster-making, fancy dress, ‘bhajan’ singing, and ‘havan’ performance, were held to commemorate the life and works of Mahatma Hansraj. Principal Jaya Bhardwaj addressed the gathering, saying, “As we celebrate Mahatma Hansraj Ji’s 161st birth anniversary, we reflect on his vision for a better society.” The day concluded with the distribution of prizes, and Bhavan Vidyalaya, Sector 15, Panchkula, was declared the winner of the coveted running trophy for the event.
