“The pandemic has altered the lives of children, especially due to statewide closure of schools. The government aims to achieve a distinct place on the educational map by implementing most of the components of the National Education Policy before 2025,” Khattar said.
He said the government planned to upgrade classroom infrastructure through blended learning models. He said Rs 700 crore would be allocated to promote technology based learning in all government schools, which would include provision of digital tablets and digital classrooms.
Speaking on higher education, Khattar said the government had a proactive policy of opening government colleges within a radius of 20 km.
“There is a need to consolidate already created infrastructure with focus on providing quality based relevant higher education and placement. We are giving a push to startups among students to make them job providers instead of job seekers,” he said.
