The Tribune School, Sector 29-D, Chandigarh, conducted an HIV/AIDS awareness programme for students of classes IX to XII. The initiative, organised in collaboration with State AIDS Control Society, Chandigarh, aimed to educate young people on prevention methods, dispel myths, and reduce the social stigma associated with the disease. The programme featured an interactive session, led by Kavita, public health expert. Students participated in the programme, which strongly emphasised the importance of informed decision-making and fostering an empathetic and supportive environment for those affected by HIV. “Educating our students about HIV/AIDS is vital in today’s world to raise awareness and foster a compassionate community,” said Rani Poddar, Principal of the school. The overwhelming participation and engagement from students expressed their commitment to character development, becoming responsible and well-informed citizens.
