Palvinder Kaur, the Head Clerk of Holy Mary’s School, Banur, has been presented with the “Pride of the School - National Award” by the Federation of Private Schools. The award ceremony took place at Chandigarh University. Palvinder Kaur has been recognised for her outstanding honesty, sincerity and over 20 years of committed service. Throughout her tenure, she has taken on multiple roles with exceptional efficiency - from managing office work and supervising housekeeping operations to maintaining strong communication with parents. The achievement was warmly acknowledged during the school assembly, where the esteemed management members Director CC Devassy, Administrator Nitin M Varghese and Principal Dr Shiny Devassy praised her dedication and congratulated her on this significant honour.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
