Holy Mary’s School, Banur
The school achieved a remarkable milestone by securing the Overall Championship Trophy at the Interschool Games Competition held at Dashmesh Khalsa College, Zirakpur. Competing against 25 schools from across the Tricity, students of Holy Mary’s showcased stellar performances across various disciplines. The school participated in multiple events, including kho-kho (U-17 boys), chess (U-17 boys), tug-of-war (U-17 boys and girls), and several athletic events such as the 100m race, 400m race, 200m race, high jump, long jump, and shot put. The Maryans dominated the competition, bagging a total of eight gold medals and one bronze medal, emerging as the clear winners. Gold medals were won in tug-of-war (U-17 boys and girls), chess (U-17 boys), kho-kho (U-17 boys) and athletics: 100m race, long jump, shot put (boys), and shot put (girls). The bronze medal was secured in the 400m race. Principal Shiny Devassy applauded the students for their outstanding performance and expressed gratitude to the dedicated staff and coaches for their tireless efforts.
