Holy Mary’s School, Banur, has bagged multiple gold medals at the Zonal-Level Tournament organised by the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) for the academic year 2025–2026. The event took place at Government High Smart School, Karala, with participation from over 20 schools, including both private and government institutions. In a remarkable display of strength and unity, the U-14 team from Holy Mary’s School secured the top position in tug-of-war. The winning team included Ekamjot Kaur, Japnoor Kaur, Gurnoor Kaur, Riya Kumari, Arshpreet Kaur, Harshjot Kaur, and Japneet Kaur from Class VII-A, along with Japneet Kaur, Harkirat Kaur, and Jasleen Kaur from Class VII-D. Continuing the winning streak, the U-17 tug-of-war team also emerged victorious. The team featured Harleen Kaur (Class IX-B), Manveer Kaur (Class X-D), Prabhnoor Kaur (Class X-C), Reet Kaur (Class IX-D), Simran Kaur (Class X-B), Ananya (Class IX-D), Ekamjot Kaur (Class IX-D), Taranpreet Kaur (Class VIII-A), and Bhawna Giri (Class VII- A). Adding to the glory, the school’s chess teams demonstrated sharp focus and strategy. The U-17 team, comprising Aradhya (Class X-B), Gurnoor Kaur (Class IX-A), Hargun Kaur (Class IX-D), Eknoor Kaur (Class VIII-C), and Gurnoor (Class VIII-C), clinched the top honour. The U-14 chess team also brought laurels to the school, with Yadvi (Class VII-D), Arsh Saini (Class VII-A), Ishneet (Class VII-A), Manispreet (Class VIII-B), and Nirgun (Class VI-A) claiming first place. Principal Dr Shiny Devassy congratulated all winners for their hard work and outstanding performance.
